I just got two Chronarch MG50 reels back from Ian. He did his $78 tune and bearing change, and clean and lube.
The reels were not this smooth when they were new!
I put them back on the med. lite rods I took them off of, and did some test casting with 8 gram jerkbaits in my front yard. Wow!

Ian is the best reel mechanic I've ever seen. I doubt you could find anyone on this board or any other who would dispute this. Anyone wondering what all the fuss is about--send him a reel and you'll understand it :big grin:

That's exactly what I did.. I've dealt with other super tuners in the past (bearing upgrades, complete break down, clean and relubrication). But something is different when you send your reels to Ian. Tbh, I'm the type that's slow on following a cult but man this is the real deal. Ian also builds some of his own mechanical components. This tells me he knows his stuff inside and out.. side to side! you name it!

Ian just tuned a used IS71HL for me. I actually caught myself looking down to make sure the spool was turning.
Talk about smooooooth. Whatever voodoo mojo that cat got goin' on is the best. Ian is "DA MAN".

Ian just finished cleaning & super tuning my two new HG Conquests (101 & 201). These reels are sweet right out of the box, but after Ian gets done with them they are completely transformed into world class casters. Most of you know I have been dealing with e_bassfisher for a while now and if you knew what his capabilities were it would astound you. He constantly goes back to the drawing board on everything he knows, evaluates and learns new & better WAYS to improved his techniques and performance. He’s non stop. I want to send a SHOUT OUT! to Ian in recognizing his effort and unequaled perrformance I am fortunate in knowing Ian well enough to call him my friend! Thank you Ian (Master-craftsman)...
