The end result? The FTX-71MH flew away with our Editor's Choice Award. The company has since introduced a new take on this same series - two piece rods. Now you can have the same lightweight performance in a more convenient, transportable configuration. Do the two-piece versions hold up? Here's our look at the FTX-C722MH.

I use 3/8 oz weights on Erie to get to depth quickly, especially through current. Seems like it would support that better than. 6'10" x-fast ML sticks.
