Introduction: Lew's re-emerged as a reel company to be reckoned with roughly around the time the first generation Abu Garcia Revos debuted. Admittedly, we don't cover enough Lew's product here at TackleTour, and hopefully that will change from this point forward. Today, we take a look at arguably, they're best selling reel, the $99.99 Speed Spool LFS.

Good review, I looked and looked to try and find more about their P2 bearing support. From what I found, it isn't quite the same as Shimano's X-ship or Daiwa's Free Floating spool design. For Shimano/Daiwa, the pinion is on 2 exclusive bearings and the spool is on 2. For Lew's, there are still 3 total bearings on the spool/pinion together, but the middle bearing is "shared" and encased by a bushing that allows it to support the pinion under load and still be connected to the spool's shaft.
