Introduction: It was just last year that we shared with you our thoughts on Fenwick's HMG72M-MFC casting rod and wouldn't you know it, the series has been refreshed for 2018! This time around we made sure to get some more specifics about our review specimen so the components are much less of a mystery. Here's out look at the HMG's Search for One candidate, the HMG70MH-FC.

Back in the mid 70's when graphite rods first came out the Fenwick HMC 5 1/5 foot pistol grip rod for $99 was the holy grail. I had to settle on the Pro Bass model for $50. There weren't many options. Going from glass rod to graphite was truly amazing.

Cal,
Since their med. heavy fishes more like a heavy, would their med. fish more like a med. heavy?
