Great review. I hope you do a shootout between the Stella & Steez, that would be sweet.

I thought this was an interesting review. I also felt that maybe the experience with the reel would have been different if the 3000 model was tested. Compared to the 2000 model, the 3000 model has:

- a stronger drag
- casts better (flawless) due to the wider diameter spool
- has a wider range of applications
- balances well on a wider range of rods
- is a significantly better value due to the increased drag, casting, and wider application performance

These are all reasons I chose to purchase the 3000 compact model and feel the reel has exceeded my performance expectation. This reel packs a lot of punch even with its lofty price tag.

I compared it to the Exist and for me the Stella 3000 seemed like a better overall fit/value. I have mine paired up with a 7 ft Medium Lite St. Croix Legend Inshore. So far I have used this for bass fishing and it has been nothing short of a match made in heaven.

The Medium Light Legend Inshore just happened to be laid out similar to how I would have set up a custom rod including the action, guides and the grip. I purchased the rod at a deep discount and could not be happier with it. :big grin:
