That $295 blows my mind. With inflation being where it is, what are they able to do to keep costs low? Or, were margins so high before that they're willing to take a hit on it now, only to raise prices later when people realize that this series is a unicorn. Who knows haha.
From what I’m understanding from those posting above, the 3 bill deal is limited to this initial 200 copies of this model. Once these are gone, so is the promotional price.

The only model I’ve seen announced is that initial 725, so there is no info on full-grip models yet.

I asked about a list of different models and Brett Wood from Edge responded that I should call back in about 2 weeks to check if the list was available. This was on 8/8/22. Should be out soon....

I picked up my rebuilt x-ray blanked custom rod today and ordered the epitome so looks like I'll be comparing it side by side with the previous generation x-ray blank soon.

I also ordered the epitome 725 and will test side by side against the full gamut of edge rods. I have the silver widow (x-ray), black widow (hm), first strike (IM) and a custom delta blank rod.

This site and forum are mostly about freshwater bass fishing. The NFC CEO says the next rod blanks to use the X-Ray Carbon Air are for surf rods. I'm looking forward to that and curious what they have in the works.

Well, I broke my Zbone 733 LMH with the X-ray blank yesterday
Kistler doesn't make that rod anymore so I can't replace it via warranty program. This Epitome can't ship soon enough!

I've weened myself off the idea of using a Zenon. Thinking of moving the MGXtreme from that broken Zbone over (but it might look bad) or getting a new Steez CT. I'll also try a my Millionaire on it. might be a neat combo.

How's the reel seat? Is it like the current Edge rods? I didn't like the rough carbon texture I felt when they had the Black Widow on display at a show. Im wishing it's like a Madbull, but I might of been unimpressed with how unbalanced and heavy it was and may need a second feel of it.

Cal might know from his preview. AFAIK no rods have actually shipped yet.
