Not Just for Chuckin' Blades: The Megabass Orochi XX F5-610XX Spinnerbait Special
Introduction: By now, it should be pretty apparent that we here at TackleTour are big fans of the Megabass Orochi XX series of casting and spinning rods. Offered at modest prices, they are accessible to a wider range of anglers that were previously unable to afford the high cost of Megabass' more exotic offerings. The craftsmanship and performance of these rods definitely stands out amongst competitors, and it's easy to see that Megabass puts a lot of effort into crafting even their more budget-minded offerings. I am also currently fishing the F5-75XX Extreme Mission Type-F and have found it to exhibit a wonderful combination of performance and feel. Right now it is time to scrutinize a smaller stick, the F5-610XX Spinnerbait Special. Will it also impress, or prove to be the one dud in the lineup?

Big fans indeed, looks like an outstanding multipurpose strick. Of all The XX rods this was the one I was most interested. Look forward to the remaining reviews on these rods. Very good review, thanks.

Glad you all enjoyed it. Just to clarify, a review of the Extreme Mission Type-F is coming in the near future. I referenced the review of that rod in this review because I was expecting this one to be posted first....so don't go searching for the Type-F piece quite yet

This rod will be my 1st MB purchase for sure. I still have not found one shorter stick that I felt could handle spinnerbaits, flat and squarebills, lipless cranks, and chatterbaits well. I'm really, really hoping this is the ticket. I wasn't expecting this to be one of the 1st rods reviewed, but I'm glad it was. TT has yet again found a way to make me spend money

This is my go to rod for spinnerbaits and lipless! Rips the weeds perfectly.Hogsticker2 wrote:This rod will be my 1st MB purchase for sure.
