Still the Benchmark, the BogaGrip Fish Landing, Handling and Weighing Tool

Image

Introduction: This review has been a long time coming, there are a lot of fish landing tools out there but there is one that is employed by more guides than any other, and that is original BogaGrip. Used to land and weigh so many of the current world records this tool can be found on the boats the world over, ranging from offshore party boats to shallow water skiffs deep in the Amazon.

heys Cal, I had always wanted to buy one boga, and your excellent article has just reaffirm my desire.

just curious, the article mentioned boga weight rating is accurate, and may I ask if it is accurate throughout its entire weight range?

Hi Haoz, It's pretty accurate accross the range, and as far as spring loadedscales go among the most accurate we have tested. The smaller sizes are more acccurate for weighing lighterfish as the larger scale really provides more interpratation for sub 8lb. objecs (fish). I re-tested the 130 after a season of use and the spring contined to be accurate where I have seen with some other scales loosening over time that resulted in a more generous reading.

Remember if you want this to be an official scale it still needs to be sent to the IGFA for certification.

For accurate weight readings? (sorry...it was just set up too well!)
