Looking to buy my first SLR camera
Looking to buy my first SLR camera
Hi All,
I'm looking to buy my first ever SLR camera. I was looking at the Cannon Rebel T1's but they seems very pricey eve without the lense. What do you guys suggest in a $400 range? Thanks!

I'm not familiar with the Fuji camera, but with a $500 budget, I'd have recommended going used or just waiting and saving up more for a new DSLR.

Re: Looking to buy my first SLR camera
I wasn't ignoring you but really had no recommendations at that price range. You could have looked for a used discontinued model (i.e., Nikon D80) in that price range. I have heard there are occasional Nikon D90s going for under $500.00. That would be a killer first DSLR. In full auto, the D90 is superb and as your skills develop, such a camera would grow with you.

Nikon D5000 can be had around that figure. Its a very capable camera.
