What's in Your Camera Bag?
What's in Your Camera Bag?
I enjoyed reading what everybody shoots with, so lets start this list again.
My bag includes:
Canon EOS Rebel XSi w/ Battery Grip
Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS
Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS
Nothing fancy, but it gets the job done for me. I'd like to add a Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro lens sometime this year if I could ever stop buying rods and reels!

Re: What's in Your Camera Bag?
Thanks Cal at that time in my life I was studying photography under a European Master in Germany (Hans Schenkle) and was seriously considering becoming a professional after I retire from the Air Force. I haven't used it in years, but every couple of years I send it into Hasselblad in NY and get it cleaned and checked out for service just incase I want to splurge by taking out the big gun - haha.

Re: What's in Your Camera Bag?
I have a Nikon D7000 with a 50mm 1.8
I dont like to have alot of lenses maybe two at most. I chose the D7k over the D300s basically for the new sensor and expeed2.
My only negatives are the small buffer and............... really thats about it the camera is amazing.

The 50 1.2 is on my camera 75% of the time...by far my favorite lens. I really love the FL and the look of the images it produces.illini wrote:WOW 50 1.2 thats a wicked lens and quite expensive like 1500. You have about 6k worth of glass
I am lucky that I have such a generous famly that give me lots of gift cards!!! Wouldn't have most of my "stuff" without them.

Re: What's in Your Camera Bag?
A little off topic but I would like to add that my favorite and most used lens is my Nikon N AF-S MICRO Nikkor 105mm 1:2.8G ED. It’s really crystal sharp when attached to a tripod for macro work and gets excellent result from about 3’ out to ∞. Surprising I can take really good close ups due to the anti vibration feature for hand held camera shake. Used to be a rule that you never took a picture using a shutter speed slower than the focal length of the lens you are using while hand holding the camera, but the digital world has overcome that obstacle. Pretty cool if you ask me!

Re: What's in Your Camera Bag?
That's the plan eventually...I am thinking of getting a used 5D until the mkIII is released...I am hoping for an upgraded focusing system in it. I have been slowly building my kit with the intention of going full frame. I will probably sell the 24L and get the 35L when I do.illini wrote:That kinda glass needs a 5Dmrk2dmat wrote:The 50 1.2 is on my camera 75% of the time...by far my favorite lens. I just got an 85 1.2 mkII and have been playing around with it for a few days...a little awkward for me on my crop cam but I think I will love it on full frame
Re: What's in Your Camera Bag?
I don't do much macro...but the one lens that I regret selling was the EFS 60 2.8 Macro...probably the sharpest lens I have ever used. Got some of my favorite shots of my first born daughter with that lens!lpquick wrote:A little off topic but I would like to add that my favorite and most used lens is my Nikon N AF-S MICRO Nikkor 105mm 1:2.8G ED.
