Questions about motor guide trolling motors

Have an issue with my minn kota don't really want to go that route again. Does the auto pilot and spot lock work well. I don't have 3500 for a Garmin or Lawrence

My Motorguide Xi5's spotlock has been excellent. I've had the motor for 6 years. By far the worst part of the motor is the pedal. I'm on my 3rd pedal. Some people complain about using the pedal which I've had no issues with. Some people only use the remote which rarely ever use. Even knowing what I know about the pedal, I would strongly consider buying the motor again.
