Terrova and humminbird

Post by Ub2m4 » Sun Apr 07, 2013 3:31 pm

I am getting a new/used boat. The boat has a Humminbird 788HD ci unit. July 2012 I bought a new Terrova trolling motor. Can I access the Humminbird I link which can preset the contour based on the Lakemaster map with the remote that came with the trolling motor, or do I have to purchase the newer remote? Thanks in advance.

I think you would have to buy a new remote and power head for the terrova. I cannot find anything anywhere that says you can upgrade your I Pilot from 2012 to the new I Pilot Link.

You can upgrade, but it's expensive to do so. Like $800 retail. I had an iPilot Link 80 for a couple of weeks, but returned it. The spot lock was not accurate and raced all over the place looking. And Lakemaster does not have very many lakes in high def yet, including my home lake. Went back to my Copilot/auto pilot PowerDrive.
