Lowrance GPS - HELP!

I have a new to me boat with a Lowrance LCX28C and LMS520C. The GPS is not working, for either of course. When the units are turned on it says GPS not responding. I have no idea where to even start. Any suggestions on fixing this problem and getting the GPS working? Thanks for any help!

It sounds like they are not getting a signal from the antenna. Check to see if it's hooked to the units & has power

I know it's hooked to the units, I'll have to double check and make sure it is getting power.

The "mushroom" antennas are renowned for failing. Suggest that you borrow a working one from a buddy, and plug into your units. They are easy to remove and test, but not too cheap to purchase.

Good luck, hope they work, as they are both nice units.

Thanks for the suggestion. I was afraid it may have something to do with that.
