They probably do not need to be, but I always do.

Out of the hundreds I've put in for customers I always flush the bearings before they go in..

Hot sauce oil is a nice overall oil
Bocas lightning oil has been working great for the past few months
TGs rocket fuel is slick but thinner

Re: Do Orange Seals Need To Be Flushed?
You can but I run all my bearings without the seals..
They seem to run better without and are easier too oil on the fly

I assume you're talking about the Tournament Rocket Fuel, Nitroman? MarkG ran some viscosity tests a few years back and the Yellow Rocket Fuel was significantly thicker that Hot Sauce. I must have the data somewhere and I'll be happy to dig it up for you if you want. It includes quite a few lubes, but not the Boca.Nitroman77 wrote:Hot sauce oil is a nice overall oil

Re: Do Orange Seals Need To Be Flushed?
I was told a while back from one of the Boca Reps in a phone conversation that Oust and Hot Sauce shouldn'tlpquick wrote:X3! then add a drop of Oust to each one.Imavol wrote:They probably do not need to be, but I always do.
be used in their OS bearing due to the binding characteristic of those oils.
According to him if you want maximum casting distance run them dry. I have been doing that ever since and getting great
results with it. I use the older style bearing which they still carry. I prefer them over the new ones which encapsulate
the ball versus the retainer type of the older style which spin much longer in my opinion the new ones may offer better
protection I guess.
