I have a Motor Guide pro series 45lb. thrust 12v trolling motor. however recently I've lost power on settings 1,2, & 4. 3 works but only if i have the motor facing so it'll reverse the boat and 5 always work. From what I've read it seems like speed coils are bad? any opinions or information on this? can I do it myself or do I need someone to do it?

got a quote for approximately $200 - $350 to fix it....so new motor guide x3 is on its way....
