For those who own boats or have used GPS/fishfinders before,
what brand do you like more?
Garmin? Lowrance? Hummingbird? Magellan? etc...?

And when you buy electronics like this, what do you look for?

For fishfinder : Furuno 8)
For GPS : Garmin , used to like Magellan before but since they have been bought by French company , the support has been all in French and I don't speak the lingo :?

I wish Garmin use C Map NT+ technology !

I am seeing combo units now that are popping up in magazines.
Wondering if those are good.

I still prefer separate unit , for fishfinder it must be in color but for GPS , Radar , etc. , non-color is OK 8)

Combo when it goes kaput you lost everything  , separate units rarely go kaput at the same time :)
