Wellcraft Fisherman 180

Post by mrgadget » Mon Sep 03, 2007 2:29 pm

Considering the purchase of a 20yr old Wellcraft Fisherman 180, center console, Johnson 150 VRO, Johnson 15 kicker.

I would like your opinions regarding this craft, both pro and con, as a (un)suitable candidate as a walleye/striper chaser.

Thanks in advance, Gadget

Gadget.
I don't about the Wellcraft boats, but my buddy just bought a 10yr old Starcraft fishmaster 190 for $10,500. Awesome big water boat. Handles anything the biggest lake can dish out.
I don't know what price range your looking at, but Starcraft seems to build a sweet boat.

I have an 1987 20 foot wellcraft v20 steplift with a yamaha 200 v6. The boat rocks for Stripers and Blues +bottom fishing. BUT being 20 years old now requires high maintenance. Constant replacing of little things, salt does that. I would be a little hesitant.
