Need help choosing a Portable Fish Finder

I have the Eagle 320color in mind.

Any other suggestions ....

How well do they work?

Average battery life?

Will be using it in shallow lakes mostly 20 feet or less.

I heard that humminbird completely retooled there fishinbuddy series for 2008

I too have interest in a portable fish finder, because I do not have a boat of my own. Most of the lakes I travel to are new to me, and I'd like the added information.
