Protecting Lower unit

Post by Mookie » Mon Jul 30, 2007 9:00 pm

I have a new boat with a Yami 150. I have decided to use a transom saver for my long drives. The downside is taking paint off the lower unit.

Anyone have any tips for protecting the lower unit while towing?

Have you tried using some felt cloth to put there then put on the saver?

I haven't yet. I have read about some using carpeting. I am going to try some mover's plastic wrap that should be easy to put on and take off and shouldn't interfere with the TS. Thanks.
