super lue trick
I have been using super glue since the 70's, so this is kind of embarrassing to admit, but I just figured out how to keep the little silicone caps on my ZAP super glue from getting clogged with dried glue and then sticking to the glue nozzle.
I took the same artists brush I use to apply the grease to my reel gears and put a light coating on the inside of the cap and on the shaft of the nozzle.
Amazing, no more stuck caps!

Nice trick, might need to try that! I usually just take a bottle with a brush to avoid clogged nozzles. Like this one: https://www.amazon.com/Gorilla-7500101- ... B01A7AVQKA

I like the bottles with the brush, too, but mine always go bad before I can use more than half.Drakestar wrote: ↑Sat Nov 14, 2020 10:14 amNice trick, might need to try that! I just keep mine in the freezer of the beer fridge. Lasts for years.

You're a better man than I, Charlie Brown.Sore Thumb wrote: ↑Sun Nov 15, 2020 12:54 amI just keep mine in the freezer of the beer fridge. Lasts for years.
I quit drinking, so no more beer fridge in the garage for me.
I keep mine on the garage work table, so it goes from mid 40's in the winter to high 90's in the summer. I'm sure that has a lot to do with how long it lasts, but I'm too lazy and disorganized to take it into the house and then back out every time I want to use it.

Good deal Mark, always hated when the time came to cut the cap off for one more use That Gorilla glue with the normal tip+brush is awesome. First time I’ve ever used a whole bottle of glue. Just don’t get the brush wet
Re: super lue trick
Super glue requires moisture to set up and get hard. I keep my open superglue in an airtight little Tupperware or old prescription bottle with some rice in there to keep it dry. I started doing this last year and so for has been working. I keep one at home on the workbench and one in my boat.
