Be sure and replace the filters in that gas mask. Activated charcoal filters continue to filter as long as they are exposed to air, so they will lose their effectiveness after a while.
Thanks Mark, will do. Will research all the precautions necessary to stay safe and healthy before experimenting with this method. Appreciate all the advice guys, great stuff!

Hope to post a few more patterns soon, just need to finish some things up. Currently having some writers...no, painters block on a stupid croaker pattern  Hopefully I can get it figured out and not mess it up to bad [-o<

Trying some new things that have turned out pretty well. This was my first shot at 3D scales. Hate how PostImg messes up the picture quality though  .

That is a really nice effect. How did you achieve it?

Thanks Mark, can’t wait to put some finish on it and get to see that depth. Once the scale mesh is applied, spray multiple coats at an angle from front to back. This builds up paint along the back edge of each scale. Also makes a cool little color transition on each scale when using multiple shades it you spray the first color straight on.

Finished these up and fished them last week. First try at 3D scales look ok, but working on adding even more detail to each scale with more layering.

This mullet pattern jerkbait turned out looking good, and has been getting some big bites.

Don’t usually catch Black Drum on jerkbaits, so this big one was kind of weird :-k

Painted this Ayu color the other night. Simple, but I think it is gonna catch some fish. Pointer 78SR and Flash Minnow 95MR. Very natural colors with some flash depending on light angle. 5 different colors in the scales show up well in the sun, but not my pictures  .

Test out the green in some crystal clear, shallow water on a bright and sunny day. Sightfishing is a great way to test out colors since it let you see how the fish react to it, and they were crushing it! Several fish moved more than 50’ across the flat to come get it. Think it’s a winner.
