Repairing bills on cranks and jerks

Post by DUZBASS » Tue Sep 18, 2012 6:36 am

Anybody out there have some success repairing/replacing broken bills on baits?

I was thinking I could dremel in a nice slot and glue in a new bill but I have never tried it and not sure what glue would work best, though I am guessing a long cure plastic epoxy would be best.

thanks

I've used epoxy works well. try to get the bill as true as possible because you don't want you bait spiralling on the retrieve

I've replaced a lot of bills. Filed or Dremelled out the broken one and fixed the replacement with Z-Poxy. I found that square Cokin photographic filters made good strong bills. Easy to cut, and I could get a lot from one filter.
