NFC Blank Rating

I am looking to build a rod similar to the Kistler Helium 3 MAD (at least in my head). I am looking to build a moderate punch rod. I'm looking to get a NFC blank.
I'm eyeing up the HM Flip 764-1, HM Flip 765-1 or the HM 766-1.
From what I've understood so far, NFC blanks are generally less powerful and slower in taper. I don't need a beefy rod, as I live in Northern Michigan.
Anyone has any experience with these blanks?
Will be pitching 3/8-1oz, with 3/4oz being most common.
