Anybody use this blank before? I was wondering if it can handle 1/4 to 3/8 oz weights in 20 to 30 ft of water decent?

You want a 2 power for that weight class.

I’ve had a rod on this blank for three seasons and I would say it’ll definitely handle up to 3/8 oz in 20ft of water. You might not be making agressive overhand casts with 3/8 or 1/2 oz but there’s no way it feels under powered with that size weight. And I use this sometimes for drop shotting 7 inch worms, 4 inch gobies or soemtimes a fluke, so weight plus bait is pretty big.

And even though you didn’t ask, I absolutely LOVE this blank, action, power, sensitivity. It’s awesome.

This is a very good point...there is a big difference between slinging out big casts and actual fishing. Its very easy to fish over the lure max for a rod when all you're doing is gentle pitches or dropping it over the side of the boat. I don't have any issues pushing that envelope for customers as long as they're not power casting with the rod.

Thx man that's great to hear. Im an kayak fishermen so I usually just drop straight down whenever I mark fish on the fish finder.
