Hi TT,
Not sure if this is the right forum but wanted to get some opinions from the rod and material experts.
Just picked up a Kistler Zbone from their recent sale and was wondering if cork sealer would work or is a bad idea on the rubberized cork material used for their handles.
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

I put the sealer on my Z-Bones, no problems. I wasn't sure if it really needed it but what the heck. Fished them in hot weather no issues with slipping in the hand.

I also decided to put U-40 on my ZBone. No problems here either.

just wondering how the u40 sealer is holding up? have you had to reapply? slick on the rubberized cork?

I have only been able to fish the rod a couple times but the sealer has held up great. It sticks on there and absorbs/dries just as does on regular cork grips from my experience and is not slick at all. It does darken it a little also as it can on some cork handles. Hope this helps!
