Extending a blank

Extending a blank

Post by Hogsticker2 » Thu Apr 06, 2017 7:25 am

Hey folks. I'm looking at extending an NFC MB664 three inches. Can you give me a rough idea how much this might speed up the blank? How about power? Will it increase the power? If so, about how much?
Here are the specs
ERN 19.88, roughly 390 grams of power
AA 67.8

For RDA (not CCS) measurements I've made on blanks with powers in the 350 to 400 gram range a 3" extension would add 15-20 grams to the power which IMO would be hard to tell the difference. The tip angle would increase 1/2 degree at most.
