Thinking about making a ultralight casting rod, need help

When production rods are not enough, it's time to go custom. Come share your experiences building and/or ordering a custom rod and tell us if you'll ever go back to off the shelf.

The hump in the reel seat I use is kinda like a trigger as it guides my hand but it doesn't limit where my hand can go. Its really comfortable. It wasn't too hard to wrap my guides either.

That Fuji reelseat, what was mentioned on Elite Croix review is too heavy for light rod. It's called PTS and it needs insert. And with insert weight is 38g! More than blank itself.

Get with NFC and see if they make a blank similar to the G Loomis SJ700. An ultralight mag bass taper blank design.

If you are still in the market or looking for another project don't hesitate to look at NFC blanks. Best in the business in my opinion
