What do you use the 753 spinning rod for? I'm thinking if having one built as it's my favorite length for jerkbaits and skipping. I have an scv 6'3" med/xf already though and I don't know if the blank is comparable but higher in power or if I should just build it on a St Croix 6'6" mh and cut it down 3 inches from the butt end

It's for customer. Jig and worming zander. This blank has soft tip but powerful backbone comes very quickly. Light as feather, but very much power. I can tell more after next weekend, when I'm testing this up. Never tried this blank before.

MardukFIN I would greatly appreciate any more info on this blank. Especially if you or the customer it was built for could try throwing stuff at both the bottom and top end of the weight rating to see how it casts. If I do get it it will mostly be a 1/2oz+ rod for jerkbaits and the occasional 1/2 oz spinnerbait. If you can get any pics of the blank under loads I could see how fast the action is that would be great. If emailing is easiest just shoot me a pm and ill happily give you my info. Thank you for answering what questions you could and for any other help you have time to give. I prefer an extra fast action with a little tip to load and cast well with jerkbaits, since some while heavy are not very good casting lures unless they have a weight transfer system, but a fast action will work. You do some very nice work building rods. I'd like to learn how so I can build rods for myself, friends, and family. It's just not in the cards right now though as I have 3 kids under 6 including twin 2 1/2 yr old girls so free time and space to work are hard to come by right now, not to mention the money. I had a scv med/of spinning rod built for lighter jerkbaits and it has really blown me away. Now I'm hooked on custom rods and most of my factory rods I used to love now all seem to have little things I would change that I had never even thought about before.

That is a great looking reel seat. Reminds me of the old super stickers loomis used na in the day. I'll have to check out the Alps components for my next rod build

Casting BIG baits wasn't ever been this easy! North Fork Composites SWB 808-1 IM. This can cast about anything between 50-300g. And it's light as feather.
