EVA real seat hood
EVA real seat hood
Anyone have a source for a real seat hood like this? I've seen a couple on the Get Bit website but they don't look as streamlined. Matagi is an option if I have to go there but I'm not sure how to order from them. Thanks for the help

Re: EVA real seat hood
The hood shown is a Fuji KDPS that normally comes with a much longer tube. Recently, to save weight, many builders have started trimming threads from the seat and cutting down the tube length of the KDPS to a minimal length. If you order the KDPS and the EVA part to cover it, it is very easy to cut off the unneeded length of the tube and the extra length of the EVA and create a custom foregrip.
Be sure to use your reel to determine exactly how many threads to cut from the seat and the needed length of the KDPS when complete.

That's usually 1/4 to 3/8" of threads to be trimmed off. Careful though, you can't add it back after you have cut it off......don't ask how I know.....Angler JO wrote: Be sure to use your reel to determine exactly how many threads to cut from the seat and the needed length of the KDPS when complete.

I like the idea of trimming some thread prior, some good points on precise measurements though.hoohoorjoo wrote:That's usually 1/4 to 3/8" of threads to be trimmed off.
