First off Thanks Matt,

Got my 7'11" spiral wrapped micro guide rod on a st. croix elite blank and magtai balancing system.
If I can get off early enough tomorrow I will play around with it.
for now its paired with a E50, with 7.0:1 gear ratios, I will probably have it painted this year.

I said the wrong blank.. its the greenish bluish blank.
Still, this is what eventually happens to members here. You buy this rod and that
then you get someone to make you what you like about them all and none of what you don't like.

no problem i will get some pictures up.

First I'd like to say to others. I went with Otterrods, but who you go with is up to you.
I really dont want to use any other rod. The rod I had made was for flippin and pitchn
and when you think of spiral micro guides that may throw you off. But I can use this
rod for just about anything. Its light weigh with the foam instead of cork and its
very balanced. The only problem I can find is that I want another. So if your on this
site long enough like me you will eventually take that step or buy JDM or both. I can
say from my experience that I am overwhelmed with exceeded expectations.

I will get some pics up soonest.

Well I know cork looks great but this rod was built with one thing in my mind.
Flippin and pitchin Florida mats. It is lighter than my zombie rod of the same length and
it is proving to be a multi purpose rod. I would describe this rod in one word: precise.
I've caught 7# bowfin pitchin and I have turned they're heads on a dime.

Beautiful rod. I really like the foregrip/reel lock nut, it's nice when the threads don't show. Awesome color on the blank as well.
