North Fork Composites Approved Builders Wall of Fame

When production rods are not enough, it's time to go custom. Come share your experiences building and/or ordering a custom rod and tell us if you'll ever go back to off the shelf.

North Fork Composites Approved Builders Wall of Fame

Post by Cal » Wed Jan 16, 2013 11:54 am

We were up at North Fork Composites over the weekend and saw first hand, their Approved Builders Wall of fame. It's difficult to see in this photo, but near the top (fourth one down), one rod caught my eye as the craftsmanship and detailing looked familiar. I pulled it down for a look and sure enough, it was our very own Mattman's stick. Jon Bial, Gary Loomis's partner at North Fork immediately commented, that stick is the class of the bunch. I'm sure he's now embarrassed and totally mortified, but I had to share the comment. ;) ... Way to go Mattman! =D>

Nice! I think that was the first rod to ever get approved by NFC. As always nice work Mattman.

Matt is definitely a stud. But I think you guys are discounting a lot of great builders out there.

I know of at least one builder on there that builds some pimp stuff.

Anyways, cool I'm jealous. I would love to get into that facility and play with their graphite. Nice report.
