How small is your rod and how light is your line? It's not about the size of your tackle, but how you work it. Come share your Ultralight and Bait Finesse System (BFS) fishing success here!

My latest build, now I'm kinda broke!

I slapped this one together for fishing small crankbaits, retained the factory 5.3 gears as they are about perfect for that. This is a mix of Simon Shimomura parts (Gokigen clutch, frame, handle, star wheel, spool cap), Avail (2540R spool, line guide, driveshaft, pressure plate), and Valleyhill (2BB cog wheel, 2BB level wind). The side plates are new old stock 2500C IAR and the spool bearings Hedgehog Air. I wanted to make it a stock appearing reel instead of going full on Avail like some of my previous builds. I have yet to fish it as it has been rather cold where I am at the moment. This weekend we should have a warm-up so I may take it out then. I'm pairing it with a Graywolf 5'4" L progressive E-glass.

That's clean! Hard to beat the classics!
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

That is a heck of a build, looks like a really fun combo. How is the Graywolf working out?

I haven't fished it yet, it's a balmy 28°F out by me right now. It's supposed to be back in the 40s this weekend so I'll be dialing it all in Saturday or Sunday.
