Trout bfs vs Bass bfs

Post by Jeeves09 » Wed Jun 15, 2022 9:04 pm

Shimano Cardiff Native Special
B64L. A trout rod from Shimano Japan.
Lure rating : 3-14g
Line : 3-8 lb

Can this trout rod be used for bass fishing ?
Thanks in advance.

It "could" but, not ideal. Taper would be too slow for general use. I personally think it wouldn't be worth getting just for bass. In a pinch, sure, it could be used but, I'd go with a different rod. I believe you asked a similar question in a different thread.

Thanks for the response. I did ask elsewhere and thereafter realized the ultralight/bfs section might be more appropriate.
