1-3g hard baits

Post by nstd » Thu Feb 14, 2019 2:22 pm

Looking for some plugs in the 1-3g range.

So far I’m using the yozuri pins minnow and rapalas. Anything else out there?

Smith, JP carries several varieties as does Daiwa Japan. WooDream does as well if you want really nice ones, they are pricey though.

I like the Rapala UL series. The XR04 Xrap is sweet too. Check out the Duo Realis Tetra Works series, those are really nice. The Tetra Works series even has topwaters

I have had good luck with AliExpress lures, every now and then I get a dud but at $1 or less each who cares.

Not sure what's available to you but online would be a good start - being such a light lure and no-one knowing what to use them for my local was discontinuing them for $5 AUD... So as you could imagine I now have many...

They are supposed to suspend but they are slow sinkers really.

Cabela's Sweet Pea crank, which is actually a rebranded Matzuo Nano Crank. If you liked the old Yo-Zuri Snap beans, you're gonna love these. These run much better than the Beans. They run about an inch long and are sinking, so no need to burn them to get them down into the water. Fantastic little baits that catch pretty much anything that swims.
