Majorcraft CRX-S764UL Solid tip "Light game" travel rod

Snuck out for a test run of the CRX-764UL Solid tip "Light Game" travel rod from Major Craft.

For an entry level "Light Game" rod fit & finish are excellent.

Paired with a Shimano Ultegra 1000 & YGK G Soul X4 PE .2 (4lb) FG knotted to 6lb Yo Zuri fluorocarbon it is a fun rod to fish.

With 1.4 gram Jig heads & 2.5" Creature baits I was able to finesse 2 nice small stream winter Smallies. Solid tip made taps seem like thumps.

Biggest complaints are the .2 PE line is incredibly hard to see even with cheaters, & be careful casting it goes much farther than you think it will with just a flick of the wrist...

Thanks for posting. I bought the Crostage 642 as a Christmas present for myself. Can't wait until it warms up and I can try it out.
