How high are you looking for....price range? An area trout rod or stream trout rod?

Regards

Really impressed with my TenRyu Rayz Spectra 5’1” though it is on the high end side.

Not worried about price but would love to look at as many options as possible.
What does "area trout" mean?

It will be for rivers with high current, but at times also small reservoirs and ponds.

Small jerkbaits, spoons, bobber and fly...

I use a Tenryu Rayz Spectra 7'1", ideal for lakes and bigger rivers. Other.$400ish options include.Smith Troutin Interboron or Lagless. Finesse Fishing.com is a great place to start to get a basic understanding of the rod categories. The current range is tilted to the lighter end of the spectrum. Note also that the reel is important for this style, faster is better, the standard Shimano designation for stream trout is C2000HG or C2500HG. Mono generally better for application than braid, stretch is needed. Rods are almost invariably rung for mono and using braid may be problematic in some cases.

Area is lake fishing with little to no current or obstructions

Stream fishing technically would be high gradient mountain streams with faster current.

Given your requirements I think FF.com has an excellent range and I'd personally recommend the Rayz or Rayz Spectra. The other webstore I can recommend is Troutshop.jp - great range and service.

Excellent info.

Is there any 1 piece rods available?

I haven't come across one yet. Ferrules are so well engineered you give up nothing with a 2 piece.

I agree. Modern ferrules are nothing like the clunky metal monstrosities of decades ago. I've yet to have any of my 2 piece rods become misaligned, separate, or come apart (unless I wanted it apart)

Bronzeback,

How long do you want your rod to be? (My sense is that generally the larger body of water, the longer the rod up to a reasonable length.)
