... and nice to look at too. Went after the Duel 65sp suspending jerkbait.
Re: These are a blast ...
Id never fish for them specifically but i was always thrilled when id pull a perch in. As you said just a pretty fish. Nice catch!
Re: These are a blast ...
Very beautiful fish! Stunning colors. I love fishing for European perch. Perch are perhaps the closest we get to LM bass here in Northern EU. Also, techniques suited for bass work great for perch too. They can achieve a decent size with my PB approx. 4 lbs. Always fun to catch.
Re: These are a blast ...
A 4 lb yellow perch would be mind blowing. The current state record here in New Jersey is 2 lb 6 oz that is just under 30 years old ... but the IGFA all tackle world record (retired record) was caught here back in 1865 ... 4 lb 3 ozDalleinf wrote:Very beautiful fish! Now that brings back memories of me catching perch with the old Yozuri Pins minnows in the weeds.
slip bobbing is the laziest way to fish

Yellow perch giant from 1865 - I would love for the “history details” section to contain some more information on the catch incl. Gear used

- This one was close to 4 lb. Not quite the same beautiful colors, but still a pretty fish!

Re: These are a blast ...
Well done
I hope to find more of them when the weather cools ... it's very hot here now, not used to seeing them when the water is this warm. But I suppose they need to eat so they do what they need to do

Ulbc2, yes, I have noted the fish caught in your area and have considered visiting. We have some big perch, but the weather and food is better in Spain
Re: These are a blast ...
Hi Dalleinf! Sadly I have to say that these last years the fluviatilis population has decreased a lot. Not that rare happening this because it isn't a native fish. However some local fishermen are catching big specimens during last monthsDalleinf wrote:Ulbc2, yes, I have noted the fish caught in your area and have considered visiting. Re: These are a blast ...
It's hard to be some good yellow perch fishing. Of course, if they have some size to them, that makes it even better!
