Trout spybaits

I am looking to experiment this year with the Duo Realis Spinbait 60 in the trout streams. When it comes to trout I am an endless experimenter. Does anybody else cast these lures for trout? This will be completely unorthodox in terms of the lure. Am I on to something or do you think that the current of the streams will effect the lures action to much? As we move later into the year I start to slowly switch to larger lures. I will also be casting 2.5 to 3 in jerkbaits, and 3 inch minnows and jigs. This may just be something else to fish with.

I've used the 60 and it seems very light, will work in slow water maybe. The Duo Perakko is smaller but sinks quicker, might be worth looking at. If you haven't tried Zipbaits Rigge 70S or Smith D-Contacts in the larger sizes, you might be in for a pleasant surprise. Just be sure to use the Japanese style fast-twitching retrieve - it provokes big browns to murder...

I have caught plenty of trout on the spybait 60 but unfortunately it looks to be discontinued.

I asked the other day, it's been out of production but it will return next year thankfully.

This interests me, a friend of mine recently asked me to build him a trout sized spin bait. Too bad I didn't know about the Tetra.
But anyway, I am putting the finishing touches on my own 1 5/8" and 2" spybaits.
