Went old school this morning

How small is your rod and how light is your line? It's not about the size of your tackle, but how you work it. Come share your Ultralight and Bait Finesse System (BFS) fishing success here!

Went old school this morning

I took Zebco Omega Z02 ultralight spincasting outfit this morning to the Town pond . I got there around 8:15 and the walkers were already out , but I was the only person fishing .
The rod is a 5 1/2’ Gander Mt. pistol grip medium rod .
The combo will cast a 1/32 jighead and half a trickworm or 3” BPS Sticko as far or farther than any of my spinning outfits . I was spooled with six pound P-Line .
Two hours , nine bites , three LDR’s with a jump , one odd catfish that looked like he just opened his mouth and the worm came out , and landed five . A good morning in my book . Gillchaser

Very nice...the sort of experience that got us all started before we all became over-clocked with the technical and engineering issues of gear.
