What reel to match with Yamaga Blue Current JH Special 610/TZ?

I just ordered this rod and I'm wondering what reels anyone has tried on it. The Yamaga catalog says Daiwa 1000/Shimano 1000 or C2000. I have a couple of old Steez 2500 reels that are amazing and only about 7.1 ounces but the rod itself is awfully light at only 2 ounces. If those reels would be too large or heavy to balance properly, I'm thinking about a Luvias 1003, Ignis Type R 2003H, or Vanquish C2000S. I welcome any thoughts or suggestions.

I have this rod and use several reels on it.....all of them balance just fine with it. I use a Daiwa Luvias 2004H....Shimano Twin Power C2000HGS.......Daiwa Certate 2004CH. I also use a Daiwa Ignis 2505 Type R from time to time with it and even though it is a slightly larger reel it works out great also. I have a nephew who also has this rod and he uses a Shimano Stradic CI4+ 1000 with it and really likes the balance. This is a great rod.

Thanks for responding. I don't know if anyone else has this rod but I had searched and read enough to know that you own one and was hoping to hear your opinion on this. I ended up ordering a 2016 Vanquish C2000S from Japan Lure Shop and am just waiting for it to arrive. I've ordered from the other 3 popular shops but JLS had the best price and had it in stock. I'm stoked to get it and get the outfit on the water.
