Bait score

Post by uljersey » Tue Jan 31, 2017 10:05 am

Dick's had a buy 5 get 5 free (equal or lesser value) on clearance items. Got 5 of these Worden's Vibric Rooster Tails for free. They're more or less a Panther Martin copy, but still a good design. One advantage of this type of blade is that it will spin at the slowest of speeds. I had gotten away from inline spinners the last few years, bit plan to carry a few again. I used to have a lot of success on the old Panther Martins. I know the quality on the Panther plummeted after production went from Italy to China, but that was a while ago. Not sure if they ever recovered or not.

That is cool. I used to throw a bunch of them. Roostertail used to have one with a single hooked fly instead of the hackle treble. They came in fly patterns, used to crush on them. Wish I still has a few.
