Unintentional Tenkara ...

Post by uljersey » Mon Dec 05, 2016 7:06 am

Went out yesterday to try some new Rapala jerkbaits, hauled this river monster in. Easily a new record for me :) ... after removing it from the hook and putting it back into the water, it actually swam away. Then again, he could have been running on pure adrenaline after the trauma. It was a large mouth bass.

Don't believe the hype about inferior stock hooks on Rapala's 8-)

:D

I can't seem to find my picture of the acorn sized river mussel ( :o ) I caught in 2010...again taken on a Rapala..CD-3, IIRC.

I thought I had an ultralight monster at first...then I realized that all that force was exherted detaching the mussel from it's rock. The thing clamped down hard on a single hook and didn't let go.
