UL rod for 1/64-1/16 oz jigs

I know a lot of folks wont like this... but once you use a JDM rod you will never again buy a Loomis or St. Croix. When it comes to UL the American rod makers are far behind what comes from Japan. It is unbelievable to me that no American rod maker (other than Phenix) offers a solid tip rod.
This rod re-inspired me to build a solid tip on my Phenix Mirage UL. I'm looking to buy a 30in or longer UL Ice fishing blank and trim it as needed. I may need to cut 6in off of the Mirage. Idk about the specifics yet. I would need the components in my hand first.

All of the TICt rods I have seen listed are spinning models.

I tried the finetail xul and it had too light of a tip action for my taste. I would be scared to try and pull larger crappie from brush or perch fish in vegetation with it.
