Okuma SST Kokanee series 762-L

Post by Big-Bass » Mon Apr 25, 2016 11:38 pm

Does anyone have any info on the 7'6" Okuma SST Light action rod for fish trout and smallies in the Delaware River or any watershed for that matter? Seems to get good reviews and even though it's for "Kokanee," it looks like it would fish a variety of species well. Thanks for any and all help!

All those Okumas SST's are species specific it seems. Look at the SST-S-702UL...trout specific.

Kokanee is a very hybrid rod, whippy tip, stout butt; no casting intended, you get the bait down on a downrigger.

I have one, the casting weights a bit misleading as its a downrigging rod, you wouldn't really cast one oz with these rods, very whippy, I actually trimmed the rod back to the first guide and added a new tip.
