How are you protecting your TSRs'?
I have 4 TSR 1 piece rods now ranging from 5'9" to 6'7". After noticing some scratches on my oldest I decided I need to do something to protect my investments for travel and inside my kayak. Nothing hard case just some kind of sock or sleave.
Has anyone found a favorite product for this? I've looked at stick jackets and others like that but I've heard they don't go well with spinning rods. Also there doesn't seem to be a lot of options for shorter ultralights. Any suggestions?

The NRX rods all come with rodsocks. They don't cover the whole rod or the whole blank even, but are a length designed to cover and protect all of the guides. I know many of the NRX anglers don't use them and would be willing to sell if you inquired about them in the buy or sell section of this forum.

Thank you. That's a really good idea I use my nrx socks but I tried one out and they'd be perfect. Now if I only had 100 posts so I could use that section lol.TroutStlkr wrote:The NRX rods all come with rodsocks. I know musky. But my only option is buy online so I was hoping to find someone using a product they liked specifically on one of these rods. Otherwise I'm just throwing dice as to whether I'll like the fit especially on the 5'8 rods.muskyhunter wrote:you can get rod socks made for spinning reels.

My order showed up the other day and the shorty fits my 5'8" TSRs perfectly! And the standard is just right for my 6'7"s. All in a bad ass gun metal gray lol.

Re: How are you protecting your TSRs'?
I travel to the orient regularly and ended up having my socks custom made. I wanted something:
1. Very light so it doesn't unduly bend my UL rods when I move them.
2. Very smooth so nothing catches.
3. Very tear resistant.
I ended up using fabric that is used the line the insides of custom suits. It had all that characteristics, and I could design it exactly how I like it which is to enclose the whole rod with a tie at the handle end, and a gap for the reels.
