Utility of SI on a kayak
Utility of SI on a kayak
How well does SI actually work on a kayak? I've read that SI is not so useful at speeds of under 4 mph.

I'm going to give it a go this season. I picked up a Helix 7 SI GPS. I've heard that you can get away with 2.5-3mph, I think I can paddle that fast. We shall see.

SI is useless moving fast. Ideal is 2.5-3 I believe.
SI works like a copy machine. Move too fast and everything gets blurred together. Move too slow and everything gets stretched out and exaggerated.
I run a 998 HDSI on my yak it it works fine.

I have a Helix 5 SI on my Big Rig and it works just fine. You gotta learn to use it and tune it to the boat.
