The NuCanoe is 41" wide. I think I'm just trying to talk myself into putting one on the credit card here :-k

Malibu Stealth 14, can stand and fish and not even think about balance issues. Has a nice flat area made as a platform to stand on. Very nice built in storage hatches and livewell in the center. Use the livewell for more storage as I don't fish live bait except offshore. Handles the Gulf very well, never felt uncomfortable out there. Thing is a tank though so don't plan on paddling real long distances.

After some more research it appears the NuCanoe is pretty tippy. The Feelfree lure 11.5 looks pretty sweet. Gonna dig into that one a little deeper.

Here is a few I have been looking at.

Wilderness Systems Ride 115X Advance Angler Kayak
Old town predator 13 and predator MX
Ocean Kayak big predator II

I need the most stable, that is the most important to me.

Any info will help a ton, thanks...
The three you picked out are good picks...the exact three I narrowed mine down to also.
I would throw the ride out, the other two are more stable, and made by the same company. The Big Game has a higher weight capacity and will handle waves better. The Old Town floats higher on the water so better in moving water, not as good on big water as the Big Game. They are both nice. There is a shop in CA that sells them on eBay for the MSRP with a bunch of goodies like paddle, rod holder, anchor, etc...free shipping I got mine on there.

I got the Big Game II...stability won out, but the predator is nice!!

I've been researching yaks for the last two nights. I've decided to save for a Native Slayer 13 propel. Versatility and stability. I dig it a lot. Expensive but I think it will be worth it for me. 50 bucks a week set aside and I should have it this time next year. What's 1 more year! Maybe they will even come out with another craft by then.

probably a few months too late but anyone looking for a fishing kayak needs to check out the native slayer.

i only have experience with the 12' non propel but it is super stable. you will fall out before you flip this thing.

How come when a guy says his budget is $1000 everyone suggests products that are $2200+? Lol this just goes to show nobody reads.

Btw, I recommend the Pelican Strike Angler 120x for $650. Take the rest of your money, $350 and get a nice fish finder.

You'll have just as much fun.

Unless it's been bested, but when I bought mine two years ago, there were none better.
is this why Hobie is more expensive than most of other brands?
