My Hobie w/ Mods

Post by JerryC » Fri Mar 30, 2012 7:11 am

So i am 99% done with my kayak setup... purchased it in february... recieved the custom powder coated transducer rudder bracket last night, installed it and snapped some pictures. My kayak is a bit dirty still from my last trip, but you get the idea..

Installed Items:
  • Richie Flush Mount Compass
  • Humminbird 798ci SI Fishfinder
  • (2) Rear rod extenders
  • (1) Rod holder Ram Mount
  • Transducer rudder mount bracket
  • LED Nightlight system w/ toggle switch
Enjoy!

That is really neat. I love the idea of the red lights on the inside =D> You now have a big water machine!

Nice work Jerry that's one good looking fishing machine. I've been toying with the lighting for a while but don't know if I want to install a battery buss, and switch or what. It would be on the Pro Angler that's the only kayak I fish from at night.

Very nice!!! =D>

The L.E.D's really finishes the yak. I'd never sport that many logo's, especially Ito/Megabass ;)

Never want ppl to know what I'm using locally. [-( [-X

X2 on not wanting anyone to know what your using locally. I have a couple of local tackle shops that I like and the owners are nice guys but I don't usually buy anything but the basics from them for the same reason. There are times when I think I should give them a cut and have them order me something but before you know it they'll have a whole isle of it :crying:

Great setup you have there. I have been looking at getting into kayak fishing and love the pro angler but I think I'm gonna start with a Ride 135. That transducer bracket is awesome and so are the LEDs. Where did you get the LEDs if you don't mind me asking ?
