Swimming Senko

Post by replica66[] » Tue Jan 02, 2018 10:53 pm

I just bought a bag of these 4" Yamamoto Swim Senkos in Green Pumpkin at a garage sale. Are they any good? I use regular Senkos quite a bit, but never these with the swim bait tails. I've heard good things about them.

Great baits , you can Rig it may ways and get good results. I like to fish them weightless over vegetation and drop them in open holes . It’s also a great chatterbait trailer but just expensive .

I like them on 3/8 oz swim jigs. I use the next size up too. Yamamoto makes a jig head specifically for the swim senko, but the ones I’ve used have super crappy hooks even though they’re gamakatsu. They’re also great Texas rigged with a pegged weight. No wrong way to fish them. Great lure for Any beginners you may fish with

I've had good success with them t-rigged with small brass bullet weight - swim over veg. and drop in holes - great in Fla.

the Swim Senko tail provides some vibration to the lure. If that's what you want, then go for it.
