Has anyone tried the new Yamamoto Sanshouo plastic bait? It looks pretty good, like it might be another hot bait like his Ika was when it came out several years ago. (It's still one of my favorite lures) This new bait looks kind of like a salamander or maybe a large tadpole. I would think that if you rigged it weedless with a 3/0 or 4/0 EWG hook and a light bullet sinker, you would have an awesome bass bait that bass have not seen yet.

So no one has seen or tried this new bait? No replies? I guess I'll be the first one..

I recently bought a pack because I couldn't find my beloved fat ika and saw these. I haven't caught anything with them yet after a couple of attempts. I rigged it weightless. It has a slower fall and almost seems like it has less salt maybe? I haven't decided how I like them yet until I catch something.

I have used them weightless as we’ll esp where grass is. IME they will knocked the rod out your hand

gold rod.. Where did you write about them? Can't find it on this site. I'd like to see what you had to say. And when did these baits come out? I thought just recently..

They have been out for a while. Sometimes I use a 16th ounce weight and 5/0 tokar hook
Weight has a bobber stopper but not pegged tight. I’ll look for the mention of it. Maybe it wasn’t a review just honorable mention. They hit it hard. I use natural looking colors though. Don’t fish it fast
